TRAVELS: RON BAGGERMAN, STICKIST OF THE DAY Judging by the letters for this issue it seems that Ron Baggerman has been giving some great performances lately. I have to agree. Ron is a very entertaining and musical player, he grooves, he solos, he moves, and he communicates with his audience in an inspiring way. I've had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Ron several times in the past few months, and his own tunes and his versions of classic jazz and fusion pieces show just how fluid and flashy The Stick can be. He also has an introspective side, drawing the audience in with a sweet melody, then waking them up with a hard funk tune. I really like his use of synth sounds in conjunction with the Stick tone (via a MIDI melody pickup), it is quite tasteful. Glad to see he's getting around so much these days.
